This is a delicious Indo Chinese recipe that super delicious and super easy to make.
Ing:
1 big head of cauliflower (separated)
4 cups water
salt to taste
Boil this for about 4 min drain in a colander and set aside
1/2 cup white all purpose flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/4 cup corn starch
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ginger and garlic
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp cayenne
1/2 tbsp black pepper
salt to taste
enough water to make a pouring consistency
Add this mixture to the cauliflower and keep aside
Sauce ing:
2 tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp fresh tsp garlic
1 small onion finally diced
1/2 cup spring onions finally chopped
1 mild pepper chopped up finally
1tsp black pepper
2 tbsp sambal chilli garlic sauce
1 tsp red chutney (homemade)
3 tbsp tomato kethup
3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
salt to taste
1 tbsp vinegar
3 tbsp water
Make a slurry consisting of
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1/4 cup of chopped spring onions (optional to use as garnish)
Method:
Boil and drain the cauliflower and keep it aside, next make the batter and mix that with the cauliflower and keep this aside as well, next go ahead and decide if you are going to fry it or if you are using the air fryer, go ahead and prepare the cauliflower of your choice. Lastly work on the sauce by heating the oil in a wok or a big sauce pan, once hot add the ginger and garlic and the onions, sauté next add the spring onions, and the pepper of your choice, mix all this until the onions are a little transparent, make sure the stove is on the highest setting so everything still has a little crunch to it. Next add the black pepper, chili garlic sauce, homemade chutney making sure to mix all these ingredients really well. Add the ketchup, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and give it a final mix and lastly sprinkle a bit of salt on it and the vinegar, at this time you will have a very good flavored sauce. To thicken the sauce a bit add the water in it and stir again then throw in the cornstarch slurry mix it making sure your sauce becomes nice and thick. Don't forget to do a final taste test so the flavors are according to your pallet.
Enjoy!
